Each grade is multiplied by its weight ; everything is added up, then divided by the sum of the weights : average = Σ(grade × weight) / Σ(weight). Leave the weight at 1 for a simple average.
The average is calculated on the same scale as your grades. If you enter grades out of 100, the average will be out of 100.
