At Toolo, privacy is not an option : it is the core of how we work. This page explains, in plain language, exactly which data is involved when you use our site.

1. Your files are never uploaded

All our tools run entirely inside your browser. When you merge, split, rotate or convert a file, it is processed locally on your own device. It is never uploaded to a server, never stored, never seen by us or by anyone else. The moment you close or reload the page, it disappears from memory.

2. Data we collect

We ask you for no sign-up and collect no personally identifiable data from you. We only use :

• Anonymous traffic statistics — page viewed, time spent on it, device type, language and country — to understand what is useful and improve the site. These measurements use no cookie and no third-party service : your IP address is only used to derive the country, then immediately turned into a one-way daily fingerprint that changes every night. It is never stored, and nothing allows you to be tracked from one day to the next. If your browser sends the “Do Not Track” or GPC signal, you are not counted at all ;
• Local storage (localStorage) to remember your light/dark theme preference — this information stays on your device.

3. Advertising and cookies

This site is free and funded by advertising. We plan to display ads through advertising networks (Google AdSense, for example). These partners may use cookies to serve relevant ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites.
• You can turn off personalised advertising in your Google ad settings.
• A consent banner will let you accept or refuse non-essential cookies, in line with the GDPR.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. For data handled by our advertising partners, please refer to their respective policies.
