Creating a PDF from images

1. Add your images (JPG or PNG) by dragging and dropping or clicking.
2. Arrange them: each image becomes a page, in the order of the thumbnails. Drag them to reorder; on a phone, press and hold before moving.
3. Choose the page size and the margin.
4. Create and download your PDF. "Start over" clears the list.

Choosing the page size

The margin (none, small or average) adds white space around the image. On A4, a small margin prevents the printer from cropping the edges.

The most common case: supporting documents

Photographing an ID, an invoice or a proof of address with your phone and sending it as a PDF is what most online procedures ask for. For a clean result:

• photograph the document flat, in even light, without a flash that causes glare;
• crop if needed with the Crop image tool, to keep only the document;
• choose A4 portrait with a small margin;
• if the PDF is too heavy for the portal, run it through Compress PDF.

An iPhone photo in HEIC format must first be converted to JPG with the Convert HEIC tool.

Quality and privacy

Images are embedded in the PDF without recompression: what you see is what you get. The conversion takes place entirely in your browser; no image is uploaded, which is essential for ID documents.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The PDF is created in your browser; your images do not leave your device.

How many images can I put in a PDF?

As many as your device's memory allows. A few dozen photos work without any problem.

My iPhone photos are not accepted, why?

They are probably in HEIC format. First convert them to JPG with the Convert HEIC tool, then add them here.

The PDF is too heavy, what can I do?

Shrink the images beforehand with Resize or Compress image, or compress the resulting PDF with the Compress PDF tool.
