Rotating pages

1. Add your PDF: all pages appear as thumbnails.
2. For a single page, hover over it and use its rotate button; on a touch screen, tap it. Each click turns it a quarter turn.
3. For the whole document, use the global buttons, including "180°" for a document scanned entirely upside down.
4. The thumbnails rotate live: check everything is the right way up, then apply. "Reset" cancels all rotations.

Lossless rotation

In a PDF, a page's orientation is a simple property: Toolo changes that value without redrawing the content. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution and the file size barely changes. You can rotate as many times as you like without degrading anything.

Where do upside-down pages come from?

• Sheet-fed scanners that take the pages the wrong way round, or a badly set double-sided scan that flips every other page.
• Photos of documents taken with a phone held sideways.
• Mixed documents, where a landscape table ends up among portrait pages.

For a double-sided scan where every other page is flipped, simply turn the affected pages 180° one by one: the preview lets you spot them at a glance.

And then?

Once the pages are the right way up, you can continue with the other tools: Number pages, Compress for sending, or Merge with other documents. They all work the same way, in your browser.

Privacy

Rotation happens entirely on your device, thanks to a PDF library loaded in the page. No document is sent or kept.

Frequently asked questions

Does rotation reduce quality?

No. Toolo only changes the orientation stored in the file, without recompressing the content. Text and images stay identical.

Can I rotate a single page?

Yes. Each thumbnail has its own rotate button, independent of the other pages.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser and the file does not leave your device.

Is the rotation permanent?

It is saved in the downloaded file, which every PDF reader will display correctly. The original file is not modified.
