Extract pages from a PDF

1. Add your file: all its pages appear as thumbnails.
2. Click the pages you want to keep. The "All", "None" and "Invert" buttons speed up selection in long documents.
3. Or type a range directly in the field provided, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. Commas separate items, and a hyphen means a run of pages.
4. Check your selection, then extract: only the chosen pages end up in the downloaded PDF, in their original order.

Writing a page range

Tip: to remove one or two pages from a long document, click "All", deselect the unwanted pages, and you are done. "Invert" works the other way round: select what you want to remove, then invert.

What is preserved

Extracted pages are copied as they are: text stays selectable and searchable, images keep their resolution and the layout does not move. The resulting file is usually much lighter than the original, since it only contains the selected pages and the resources they use.

Why split a PDF?

• Send only what matters: the signature page of a contract, a single statement from a yearly export, the useful chapter of a manual.
• Stay under a size limit: an official portal that rejects files over a few megabytes will often accept just the relevant pages.
• Protect your privacy: remove pages containing information the recipient does not need to see.
• Reorganise a document: extract several parts, then put them back together in the order you want with Merge PDF.

Privacy

Extraction happens entirely in your browser, using a PDF library loaded in the page. No document is sent, which makes it suitable for contracts, bank statements and medical records. A password-encrypted PDF must first be unlocked with Protect PDF.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Pages are extracted in your browser and the document never leaves your device.

Can I change the order of the extracted pages?

Extraction keeps the original order. To reorder, extract the parts separately, then assemble them in the order you want with the Merge PDF tool.

How do I save each page as a separate file?

Repeat the extraction, choosing a single page each time. If you just want images of each page, the PDF to image tool exports them all at once in a ZIP.

Does the quality drop?

No. Pages are not recompressed: text, images and layout remain identical to the original.
